LJUBLJANA. GREEN FOR YOU EVENT.
Together we have switched on the green light.
The curtain-raising ‘LJUBLJANA. Green for you’ event took place outside City Hall on Wednesday 13 January 2016. It was intended for all of the people of Ljubljana, at which we switched on a green light together, raised the flag of the European Green Capital 2016 and opened the Info Point, in which a varied programme takes place every day.
The slogan of Ljubljana – European Green Capital is Ljubljana.Zate./Ljubljana.For you., while the mascot is the lovely Flora the Dragon, and the year will also be marked by the hymn by the children of Poljane primary school ‘Ljubljana. Zate’., which was selected in a competition among primary schools in Ljubljana.
We were joined at the event by representatives of every District Authority, while Črnuče District Authority officially picked up the baton as the first green ambassador of the project. In three weeks they will pass the honour to Šmarna gora District Authority, which is also preparing a diverse programme.
Our hearts beat with Ljubljana."
