Beekeepers’ Association declares the City bee-friendly.
On the occasion of Bee Tourism Day, the Slovenian Beekeepers’ Association (ČZS) awarded the title of Most Bee-Friendly Municipality 2015. The title of Most Bee-Friendly Municipality went to Idrija, with our Ljubljana a very close runner up. As perhaps you already know, this year we have opened the Bee Trail and showcased the excellent Ljubljana honey.
This year, competition for the Most Bee-Friendly Municipality was set apart from previous years as for the first time the municipalities were nominated by the Beekeepers’ Association. The Association comments that it is very pleased with the activities showcased by the municipalities. The City of Ljubljana will certainly continue to endeavour to make our city friendly to the environment and bees.
